Beds have been in existence since olden days when men lived under the tress, besides the lake and inside caves. The ベッド that they used in those days is obviously no way comparable to what we mean by ‘bed’ in today’s era. What the primitive men and women used was a bed made out of dried leaves, straws etc in order to make it comfortable for them to lie down or sit instead of using the hard ground. Now, this is the concept that is laid in the constriction of the modern bed as well.
Today’s bed is made of a wooden base. This base can be made up of spring as well, depending on the choice of the user. On this bed base, what is supported is the mattress. This is the cushioned mattress that serves as the soft bedding for the bed. Apart from that, bed must have a bed frame. It is the bed frame which decides the kind of bed that one shall have. ベッド vary from one another in various ways. Some typical beds contain a headrest made for resting one’s head while reading, talking to others etc (basically when one sitting in an upright position). Then there are others which provide additional items such as the footrest and the hand rails. This is not the complete story. For a fulfilling experience on the bed, what is essential is a proper bed sheet for covering the mattress along with proper set of pillows, blankets, quilts and duvets.
